Happy Father’s Day…

Happy Father’s Day to all you wonderful Dad’s.  Before I give you a glimpse into our Father’s Day, I want to share what we did yesterday.

I woke up at 6 am.  Couldn’t sleep!  I made coffee, started some laundry, and organized the closet.  Kenz woke up around 7 pm and we started off cleaning and sanitizing the whole house.  There has been lots of un-ending dust since construction was still going on.  After we finished that, we got cleaned up (you saw the video below of her singing in the shower).  We headed to Target for Father’s Day presents and Bailey’s birthday present.  Kenz picked it out all by herself, Bailey.  I hope you like it.  ; )  We came back home, unloaded shopping bags and headed to Mandy’s for crabs.  Then I took her to meet Jared for Alex Hock’s graduation party.  CONGRAT’S ALEX.  Makenzie told me she thinks he is cute, so she is shy around him and wont give him a hug. ha ha  I headed over to Pam Lowery’s for Stef’s birthday party.  Finally we were at home watching Shrek, again, by 8:30 pm.  We were both out by 9:30 pm.  Here are some pictures from yesterday…
Mandy, I know we always talk about how much trouble we are going to be in when these girls get older, but here is a REAL glimpse into the future.

And here she is, watching Shrek.  SO tired, sporting her Hello Kitty PJ’s (you’ll see why she chose her Hello Kitty PJ’s when you scroll down and read about Sunday morning).

This morning we woke up early so that I could put press on nails, on Kenzie’s nails.  She got them at Target yesterday.  They are Hello Kitty.  Once she got to Sunday School, I saw they were using finger paint to make a Father’s Day present, I thought… “Oh No”.  I heard her telling the teacher she couldn’t participate b/c she didn’t want to lose a nail.  BUT, she ended up making her Dad the present after a little resistance, says her teacher.  She also almost lost a nail down the sink while washing her hands.  Thank goodness one of the other children caught it before it bit the dust.  Once I got back to the nursery to pick her up, the teacher handed me a lunch bag full of the press on nails.  They had all fallen off.  And this is what Kenzie made for Jared.

Found this picture in Blake and Tara's wedding Pictures and wanted to add it.  I thought it was nice!

After church, we headed to Gilligan’s for dinner.

And the most important picture of all, is the one with her Daddy… Where is it you ask?  Well, she won’t let us take one.  Her Dad is trying to take one as I write this.  She is tired and keeps crying when he tries.  So, we’ll see if she complies in a bit.  Fortunately, I have some on my computer.  Not of today, but very special memories.
This is my personal all time FAV!

Singing in the Shower…

I was cleaning and I put Kenz in the shower so we could get started on our MANY errands.  Well, I am folding laundry and I hear this….

IT IS WORTH WATCHING PEOPLE. ha ha

I asked her where she got that from, she said Squidward does it in the shower on Sponge Bob.

Friday Fun….

Yesterday Kenzie and I just hung out at the house.  She talked on the phone to Katie (I got a major glimpse into the future there.  The way she was sitting talking on the phone).  Then I let her jump on the couch for a minute, but only for a minute.

Then we watched Shrek and a lot of Tom and Jerry.

Another weekend wrap up...

Friday, I headed over to the Blue Crabs stadium for relay for life.  Let me tell you, I teared up a time or two.  It was very overwhelming and the community support was phenomenal.  I felt so proud to be there and be apart of that.  I am going to make it a tradition.

Saturday I had work and a work party.  The work party was for me, so I couldn't skip out.  This Friday will be my last day with NCIS.  I am so bless and thankful that I was offered a job with NSWC and will start next Monday.  Such a prayer answered!!!  Two minutes from home!!!  With that being said, Kenzie and I had to miss two very special birthday parties. : (  Mikayla and Aubrey, I know your birthday parties were so special.  I am sorry Kenzie and I had to miss.  Happy Birthday to you both.

Sunday, after Church, we headed over to Kelly's for crabs and a cookout.  It was so nice.  She had a water slide and a moon bounce.  It was so much fun and even some of the adults participated.

Soccer, Baseball, Wedding and a Birthday...

So much went on this weekend and I honestly don't have but a few pictures (which I will have to add later, when people send them to me).

Friday was Kenzie's last soccer practice, which we skipped.  Granny, Grandpa, Oma, and Papa came over to visit.

Saturday Makenzie and I spent most of the afternoon at the Salon.  She had such a good time with all the girls.  She got her hair curled and a close view of me getting my hair done.  Then we headed to the mall so I could get a dress for Tara and Blake's wedding.  While I went to the wedding, Makenzie went to the Blue Crabs game with Granny, Grandpa, Uncle Greg, Aunt Becky and Josh.  She had such a good time watching the game, playing on the playground and watching fireworks.

Sunday after church, we headed to Indian Head Soccer league's ceremony and picnic at Grey's Beach.  Makenzie received her second trophy ever (her first trophy was... 1st place winner in the baby contest September 2009). Sunday was also Oma's birthday.  Happy Birthday Oma!!!  Thanks for all you do, and we hope you enjoyed your special day.  We love you SO much!!
Receiving her Trophy from her Dad

Monday Kenzie and I played in the pool all day.  Since it was my last Monday off before I started my new job, I wanted to spend it with Kenzie.  I kept her home from day care.  Then we headed to Oma and Papa's to celebrate Oma's birthday.  It was a nice, fun filled weekend.

Happy Birthday Momma and Congrat's to Blake and Tara Graff.

A Prayer for the Working Mom...

I was Googling (one of my favorite things to do) "the perfect grocery list" b/c I am headed to Safeway after work.  I am always clueless on what to get and what I may need later.  I get home and say "Ugh, I should have got this... or that."  It is so funny how God works in mysterious ways and always comes through right when I need him the most.  I feel so blessed to be a believer so that I can watch and take notice to his work in my life.
I hit enter and this is the first website that popped up;  http://www.workingmom.com/.  I didn't even state in my Google search that I was a woman, much less a Mother, and this is what I find?  Awesome!!!  After reading through the website I found this prayer; it is almost identical to my prayer every morning while driving to work.  Not in these exact words, but it sums it up perfectly.  It was just what I needed this morning, so I wanted to share:

A PRAYER FOR THE WORKING MOTHER
Lord, I lay all my responsibilities at Your feet.  I am now yielding my heart, mind and strength to Your awesome power and glory.  I desperately need You.

Open my eyes, ears, heart and soul so that I am not too busy to hear You.  Teach me to walk, live and be in the center of Your will for my life.  Use me as a blessing in the life of my child, dear Lord.

Forgive me for my past mistakes, which can better be described as sins.  I've been impatient, short tempered, and self-righteous and it has made me a difficult woman to live with.  Lord, starting today, fill me with the fruit of the Spirit:  patience, kindness, humility, and gentleness.

Make me a woman who is not easily angered; guard me from being rude or selfish.  Fill me with the strength to endure all things necessary.  Your perfect love never fails.  I praise You and thank You for saving me.

Amen!

I am printing that out and putting it in my home so I can say that prayer often.  I hope it blessed you as much as it blessed me.  I am so glad I came upon it.  : )
