My 29th, Flag-Football, Ethan's First Birthday and Other randomness...

Last Monday we celebrated my 29th birthday at Mom and Dad's. We had meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans and icecream cake. It was a nice time and I got lots of Pandora charms to add to my Pandora bracelet.

Ketchup... February and March

I have been such a slacker on blogging.  Things have got crazy, we have been so busy, and I promised myself I'd dedicate today for blogging...  I am going to briefly list the things we've done and follow with pictures.

First we celebrated Ryan Jones' 30th birthday down at Port Tobacco and I snapped a few shots:

On Valentines Day, Kenny completely took me by surprise (and I mean COMPLETE surprise) and proposed in front of my whole family.  I should have guessed b/c Momma had out her professional camera and when Kenny handed me my "gift" she quickly said "come sit down and open it".  ha ha  I was wondering why she was so enthused for me open my present.
This is how it went down:
I opened the card and inside there was a personal note from him that said
"Karen, I love you and Makenzie so much.  I can't imagine my life w/o you two in it, SO... WILL YOU MARRY ME?
Needless to say I ripped through my package until I pulled out a ring.
I know he loves me with his whole entire heart, he loves me for what's on the inside, for the person I am, not what I look like on the outside, he strives each and every day to make me happy, he works hard, he believes in God with all of his heart and attends church with me and my family, he loves my little girl as much as he loves me and she loves him.
Here is the ring and it's perfect!!

Kenzie and I went to see Disney Princess On Ice with Friends.  We had really good seats and the show was great.  We ended up sitting right next to the Risen's.

Kenzie went to Ocean City with her Dad.  You can see her holding her new barbie.  She also got too close for comfort to a bear.  :)

We visited my favorite two little guys
Kolten Dudley
Ethan Murphy

We also said good-bye to a very special lady that I called Grandma.  This is Mandy Dudley's grandmother with Kolten.  She was  A VERY special lady.  She will be greatly missed.

I bought a new Dodge Durango, 3rd row seating, and most importantly (to Kenzie) it has a DVD player.  Among the many other reason's we got the truck... this is one of them:

We are dog sitting for our neighbor Lara.  Her dog Luna is so adorable and we love dog sitting.

Monday is my birthday, the LAST of my twenties. :(  I am not liking that.

Sunday Funday....

Some shots of Kenzie and I being silly on Sunday after Church:

We always tease while shes in the bath.  She pretends like she is someone else when she has a "bubble beard".  I pretend to believe it.  She really think I believe it. Then she wipes the bubbles off and says "It's just me Mommy."  ha ha

Monster Truck Jam 2011...

I love starting traditions with Makenzie.  When I was younger I used to go to the Monster Truck Jams every year.  My favorite was the Grave Digger.  We would pass the Grave Diggers store and practice track every year driving to Nags Head, that's when we knew we were close.  So, when we went to watch the Monster Trucks, us kids would root for the Grave Digger b/c we kinda felt like we knew him.  :)  This was the first year Kenzie was old enough to fully enjoy Monster Trucks.  She was very excited to go when I asked her if she was interested, so I bought us tickets.  We went with Sam, Charlie and Devin Knott.  Kenny's brother Billy, his wife Stephenie and their oldest son Dylan.  We also brought Makenzie's BFF, Gracie.  We had such a great time.  It's just how I remember it as a kid and I hope to take Kenz and friends every year.  Here are some pictures:

Can you see Kenzie and Gracie's purple ear plugs?
Ear plugs weren't enough for Grace... ha ha Poor thing

Poor Gracie, holding her ears again.  When I picked her up that morning and told her we where going to watch Monster Trucks she said "GIRLS, GOING TO A TRUCK SHOW?" ha ha  Makenzie said "Uh, yea Grace!" I wasn't sure Makenzie would be into it, but she loved every minute.
