Last Friday….

Last Friday I went to visit a friend, Megan Davey.  She was in town for the week.  She moved to California so I took advantage and spent some time with her since I probably wont see her again for awhile.  She has been a friend of mine for years and years.  Matter a fact, Mom hosted a baby shower for Megan’s Mom when she was pregnant with Megan (that is a little history).  I got to watch fireworks from the water in front of the Nationals Stadium.  We rode out with the Capitol Police.  It was very cool.

Oma picked Kenzie up from school and took her to soccer practice.  Kenz got to spend some time with Oma and Papa.

Gilbert Run

Another fun weekend has come and gone.  First of all, how about that hail on Friday???  Was that crazy or what?  The roads literally looked as if we got another snow storm.
Sunday after Church we headed down to Gilbert Run for Aydan Clements birthday party.  So much fun!  Thanks for the invite Aydan!
Such a fun day!!!  It just stinks the weekends have to go by so fast.  I could use some more rest.

Mother’s Day

Today was such a special day.  We started off with Breakfast at the church.  During service, they presented gifts to the oldest and youngest Mother in the congregation.  The oldest Mother was 88 years old.  The youngest Mother was 28, me.  It was so special to be recognized.  It is such an honor and a gift all on it’s own to be able to be a Mother, especially to such a wonderful, perfect little girl.  We had four generations sitting in church this morning and the fifth generation, Norma Cleary, my Great-Grandmother was recognized as well.  She was a wonderful lady, who was loved so much.  It brought tears to my eyes to hear the wonderful things said about her.  She is greatly missed.

After Church, I hosted Mothers Day dinner at my house.  It was nice to be able to make dinner for the three wonderful ladies in my life who have always made the dinners previous years (Mom, Granny and Aunt Becky).

*Saturday, Mandi took pictures of Kenz, Steven, Josh and I.  They turned out amazing.  Versus the extreme wind and me having the stomach flu.  I drove right to the hospital after the shoot.  blah!!!  I will scan them at work and post them.  Thanks so much Mandi!! You are truly talented!!

Taylor Swift, here we come...

Yesterday, after waiting online for 4 hours, hitting refresh every half hour, knees knocking, heart pounding from 9:55-10 am.  I hit refresh one last time, up pops the window asking me how many tickets I wanted and a time ticker telling me I had 3 min and 30 seconds to make my purchase or someone else would take my place in line.  I had two windows up for ticket master, just in case I lost one, I did not want to miss out on the opportunity for Kenz to see her idol (for now).  So, after much anticipation and an anxiety attack, I got 6 tickets to Taylor Swift.

The seats aren't the best, but Kenzie will get to see her favorite person live in concert.  Taylor Swift, here we come!  Mandy, Jared and I are going to take the girls (Taylor, Gracie & Kenz) on June 1st.  I am keeping it a surprise.  I can't wait to see her face light up when Taylor Swift walks on stage.
I know most of you have heard Makenzie sing Taylor Swift songs.  She knows every word to every song and all of us (Mimi, Pappy, Daddy, Oma, Poppa, Mommy... anyone who drives Kenzie anywhere) have Taylor Swift cd's in the car or on the IPOD for listening to when Kenzie is in the car  It is a MUST!  And if you get to your destination and the song is still on... you are sitting in the car until the song is over or you will have one very upset little girl. lol

I am so so so thankful I was able to get tickets for her.  I do not want her to miss out on this.
