Field Trip to the Pumpkin Farm

Tuesday I went with Kenzie on her very first field trip (since it was canceled last year).  We had a really good time.  After the corn maze I had to run to use the little girls room.  I came out and our group was waiting for me.  Everyone was already seated waiting for the hay ride.  I had to run (of course everyone was staring).  The tractor once a took my seat the tractor driver said "Are you ready Karen Michelle?"  I laughed and said "I guess Makenzie told everyone my name (including my middle name)."  The lady sitting next to me said "Oh yeah, she told us everything!"  I was scared to ask what "everything" entailed. She is a mess and that tractor driver got a real kick out of Makenzie.  She did tell him that she knows how to put on her own shoes and that every morning she gets herself dressed and brushs her hair and teeth and on and on and on...

 "Noooooooo-wah, don't take a picture of me!"

The goats (the farm lady was kind enough to tell the children that they slaughter them and use them for meat) and look at the baby chics... so cute!
The farm lady asks all the childern... "What is this?"  All the children yell "COW!!!!"  Isn't that what you would have said???  "Well" says the farm lady "I'll let it slide since you all are younger, but this is a heffer.  She won't become a cow until she has a baby and is able to produce milk."  Really lady?  Really?  Come on! LOL  Can you tell I wasn't too thrilled with the farm lady?  When we entered the barn, I said to Megan "It's stinky" and Megan agreed.  The farm lady snaps back "No worse than a dirty diper."  Ok, excuse me! lol

These pictures are from Kenz eating a whole can of spinach at dinner.  She was so proud of herself.  I was proud of her too.

Packed full of fun...

Saturday was a BUSY day!  We headed to Pump~It~Up first for Devin Knott's birthday.  Devin is Makenzie's "boyfriend" as she tells me.  Chasity Davis (Kenzie's cousin Kamryn's Mother) is Devin's teacher and she told me on Saturday that Devin tells her at school that he has two girl friends Makenzie being one of his girlfriend (besides her).  :)

Here are pictures from Pump~It~Up

Then we headed to a flag football game.  After that we met Mandy and Gracie and headed to a Halloween party.  Stephanie Robertson's Mother, Lori, has a party every year.  It is so much fun.  Hay rides, pumpkin carving, moon bounce, games and more.  Kenzie really enjoyed the sack races.

Then we headed to Mandy's to play for a bit longer.  I got to read a book to my Godson, Kolten.

This weekend was a ton of fun.  Kenzie is still worn out.  She told me on the way to school she was SO tired.  She helped cut the grass this evening and picked sticks up out of the yard and threw them in the woods.  She is such a big helper.

Picture Stealer!!! Sorry, but I HAD to...

Sorry Elaine, I HAD to steal this picture.  I wanted it to be in Makenzie's book/blog as a piece of history. Also, for family that looks at Makenzie's blog.  For those of you that think Kenzie looks just like me... I think she is Wood through and through; from her waist down to her feet are identical to her Father (hips, butt, legs feet and toes), her ears are as if God made a mold of Jared's ears and stuck them right on to Makenzie's head.  A lot of people will tell me she looks so much like Lindsey Wood (Wayne's daugther, boy #3 in this picture).  I thought she had my nose, but now that I look at Kenny's nose in this picture (in the middle), Kenzie's nose looks a lot like his.  This picture definately made me smile and I know Kenz will love it.  Hope you don't mind Elaine... and Caleb does look just like his Grandfather (boy #1 in picture)!

Housewarming...

I finally got my house to a point where I could have people over and show it to them.  This weekend I had a housewarming.  Thanks to all of those who came and for your generous gifts.  It is truly appreciated!  Thanks so much to Kelly, Mandy and Momma who did so much to help for this event.  We had a wonderful time.  Here are pictures...
