Update

I need to get better at updating Makenzie's blog. I have been a little behind.
Makenzie completed her first Vacation Bible School (VBS) at Marbury Baptist Church last week. I helped Oma with Crafts on Tuesday and Thursday. Makenzie made an Alligator on Tuesday and a boomerang on Thursday. Just being there, I couldn't help but think back to when I attended VBS at the same church doing the same things Kenzie participated in. She really enjoyed it. Her teachers were, Ms. Moore and her daughters Jennifer and Elizabeth. Ms. Elizabeth told me, during crafts on Thursday, that on Wednesday they had Trix cereal for snack. She said that after handing Makenzie the cereal she said "silly rabbit, Trix are for kids." LOL She is so funny!
Last Friday I was also lucky enough, once again, to be able to bring Makenzie to work with me. We had our annual NCIS picnic at Cosca Park in Clinton MD and Makenzie joined me. Here are some pictures of her at work with me below.
Being Silly VERY tired from having to get up early! On our way to work.

Play date with Bailey

Bailey is so sweet to share her swing set at her Nana and Papa's house with Makenzie. Makenzie loves walking up to Bailey swing set from Oma and Papa's since they are neighbors. Every time we walk outside of Oma and Papa's house Makenzie asks "Can we go to Baby Bailey's playground?" Papa usually takes her up while he is watching her during the day. Here are some pictures Mandi took while Bailey and Makenzie were swinging. I think these pictures are SO cute!! : )

Oma's 50th Birthday Party

Oma turned 50 on 06/06/09. We threw her a surprise 50's themed birthday party. Once again, MiMi did an outstanding job planning and decorating the party. She is so creative and talented in the party business. We all had such a good time and Elvis even made an appearance. My friends and I dressed as the Pink Ladies. Makenzie and Mi Mi dressed in poodle skirts. There were lots of other guest who dressed for the occasion as well. Makenzie made it the whole way through the party which didn't end until almost mid night.

Uncle Steven's Graduation Party/ Cockerham Family Visit

Uncle Steven came home the weekend of Oma's 50th Birthday Party. Oma wanted to throw him a Graduation party since he has recently graduated from Coastal Carolina. We are all so very proud of him.

It just so happened that this same weekend some of the Cockerham family who live in NY were passing through on their way to SC so they were able to come and visit for the party. We miss them so much and rarely get to see them. However, when they do come to town it is a special occasion. Here are a few pictures below of our family (some of the family).

These are some, definitely not all, the Cockerham kids. There are 3 spouses in this picture as well.
* I would also like to thank Mandi K. and Angela S. for helping me find photo shop. I am addicted now! It is very easy and anyone can use it. www.picnik.com.

Makenzie's 2nd Play

Makenzie was in her 2nd play with Marbury Baptist Church. Makenzie was the youngest child in the play. She did so well and Jared and I were so proud of her. She knew all the songs and remembered a lot of the choreography that went along with the music. She had a lot of fans in the crowd too. Oma (leader of music), PaPa, MiMi, Pappy, Granny, Grandpa, Uncle Greg and Aunt Becky.

Work With Mommy

Makenzie came to work with me last Friday. NCIS had their annual Torch Run for Special Olympics and Makenzie was able to be apart of it. She got up at 5 AM and didn't like it one bit. We had a tough morning. By the time we got to Bryans Road to pick up Katie she was feeling better. She fell asleep on the bus, on the way to the Capitol, and slept the entire run. We had a good day and it was so nice to have her with me at work.

Sunday = Crabs

Sunday we enjoyed the day outside eating crabs and painting some pictures. It was such a beautiful day. Kenzie really likes seafood. She ate shrimp and crabs. I didn't think she would care for either. She is constantly surprising me. Speaking of food Makenzie likes... She eats Spinach like you wouldn't believe. Whole bowls of it. She LOVES it. I don't know about you, but I disliked Spinach when I was young. I never wanted to have to eat it.
Makenzie's, one of many, paintings she did yesterday.
Being silly with "her best friend", Autumn She LOVES these sunglasses so much, she wouldn't take them off when the sun went down.

Brooklyn Robertson's 2nd Birthday

Kenzie and I went to Brooklyn's 2nd Birthday Party this weekend. We started off at Build a Bear and then headed over to Pizza Hut! I thought this was a GREAT idea for a birthday party! Kenzie had so much fun.

Blowing on her party favor. She was so proud of herself when she finally got the horn part to blow. She said "I did it!!!" Leaving Build a Bear, looking around the Mall. Isn't her dress so cute?

Makenzie's Elephant. I thought it was cute. She picked out a Hello Kitty outfit and named her "Ella"
